Block covers K-M21. Soil contains heavy concentrations of charcoal (K-L21), soil samples is taken from K21 WF 294, WF 300). Rather large fragments of pottery, several joining but old breaks indicate floor level of the first Hellenistic phase of bulding I. The rich amount of charcoal, especially towards the east part of the block, fragments of burnt pottery and occasional other burnt fragments of clay or terracotta may be traces of a portable hearth or similar but not necessarily used for the preparation of food. The fire seems not to have been very extensive, that is, not spread over a large area, since neither bones or other material show traces of burning. Soil also contains a well preserved piece of what seems to be red pigment. Top of older wall partly visible in L-M21, under wall 53.
