This block is situated in q. α where we decided to go down about 10 cm. The aim was to expose more of the collapse. We quickly reached the yellow stratum which means that the pottery should belong to this, although only a few pieces were found. Stones soon appeared and we found a number of tiles. It can be noticed at this point that we are dealing with at least three different kinds of times; thick red, thick yellowish and thin red.The top o this layer is defnined as the bottom of block 2 and the terrain. It extends to the walls.110513This is the block in q. α. Finds here are few, although the soil is very similar to the one found in the other blocks here. It is possible that the lack of finds is due to two factors; that the block is smaller than the others and that it is the one that must have been most extensively excavated by Wide and Kjellberg. I do still believe, however, that that can’t explain it all together. It is also possible that some looting occurred during Antiquity, but the extent seems difficult to establish.
