This block was opened to the east of blocks 3 and 35 to see wether there were other earlier structures or finds. As the soillayer represented in block 3 was very thin and did not contain many finds it was decided to take block 4 directly down to the same level as the bottom of block 35. Two small stones lying on soil were removed from Wall 56. No structures/walls were found and the bedrock/mudbricklike soil continued into this block. As in block 35 there were very few finds.
