This block was excavated to uncover the south side of the front wall in the structure being excavated. This block is somewhat curiously shaped as it goes down into the deep trench extending from block 18-21.

This block can accurately be described as a stone tumble. Soil described as medium hard 10YR 5/3 brown.

Finds were numerous considering the size of this block, mostly pottery and tiles. Some quite large pieces of pottery (in fragmented condition) were recovered. Two shells, about 5 cm over the shell were also found, lying neatly on top of each other in the N/E corner of the trench. Almost looked intentional.

No features.

The wall can be seen much more clearly now.
