Removing topsoil. Removing soil from E to W, digging very thin layer by layer. Slight change in soil colour in small area NE part of block (O15T23, close to N part of wall 01). Very patchy soil throughout the block, probably the result of a (modern) fire that took place in the area. Small pieces of charcoal found all over E part of block. Soil contains small and worn fragments of pottery and plenty of worn tile fragments. Modern glass fragments appears very close to bottom level, near wall 01.
