Context information

"After removing blocks 4 and 5, the whole room D is excavated down to the level where the 2007 excavation halted. At this level, the room is divided into 5 new blocks (7-11), of which block 11 comprise feature 13, partly excavated 2007. Removing soil from E-W. In W part of block are a terracotta ""bobbin"", a large lump of lead, a bronze nail, a bronze sheet, at least 2 glass vessels, iron fragments, and a large bone (joint) is found. All over the block is also plenty of very large and well preserved fragments of tiles and what appears to be mainly storing and serving ceramic vessels (amphorae, plates). Top of a complete plate is visible in unit I22. A row of neatly placed stones, which define the E demarcation of the feature become visible in unit H22. Another concentration of stones in I22 seem to comprise a dividing wall of the feature into two separate parts. When these structures are clearly visible, excavation at this level is halted and the feature is divided into two new blocks, 12 and 13. Digital photos are taken, showing a general overview of the feature with the complete plate in situ. A soil sample is taken from unit I22."
