"Level immediately below block 7. Possible floor level or older phase below floor level. Finds from block is divided into 1x1 m squares, according to matrix units. Soil samples are taken from each square. Begin removing J25. Square contains few finds; pottery and tile fragments are sparse and seem much more worn than at previous level. One very big murex shell is found. Soil is coarse, lumpy and hard packed. I25: continuously rather sparse, much worn pottery some tiles and occasional large shells. I24: pottery and tiles the same, unit also contains some pieces of heavily burnt stone (andesite?) and a more or less complete fishing-hook of bronze. 24/5: J24: pottery and tiles as previously, unit also contains some charcoal. Excavation in block stops at level where soil compaction changes from hard to very loose. At this level S wall of room is resting on soil, while fundaments of wall 46 continue down which indicate at least two different activity and building phases of the room. 26/5: When cleaning bottom block a steatie biconical ""whorl"" or bead is found."
