Already in the top layer of block 14 a lot of pottery from rather large vessels were visible. Among them were several amphorae handles, one bottom. Perhaps it will be possible to restore one of the vessels. As in block 13 there was a large amount of cobbles. Again there were several murex shells but not so concentrated as in the previous block 13. After removing a layer that consisted of pottery, stones and tiles we could begin collecting soil samples. 3 buckets were collected and 2 samples were put in the black "buckets" to be used in the same manner as in the previous block. Pottery may be roman (?). The bottom of a big plate was among the pottery finds. It was decided to continue excavating the cistern considering the amount of finds in this block. When measuring the bottom of block 14 (168 cm from bottom of cistern to the top in the eastern part) we concluded that the blocks 13 and 14 approximately were ca. 44 cm in total.
