Block 23 equals the contents of Feature 23, which was believed to be a small storage space or other installation. A built line of stones frames the feature on the S and E sides and it is limited on the other sides by the N and W walls of the quadrangular structure. Careful cleaning of all surrounding walls reveiled that Block 23 is actually not a special feature. It constitutes the corner of two walls from a phase earlier than the walls of the quadrangular structure, which is obvious from the soil layer that separates the structures. Finds were few, and except for a few fragments of pottery and shells, only the part of of a worked bone, perhaps ring, was found. Stones cover the bottom of the block, either constituting a stone packing or a small part of a wall from an even earlier phase.
