Context information

Block 30 covers the same area as Block 26, except that the area outside of Walls 57 and 62 is not excavated for now. The material of Block 30 is burnt and two soil samples were collected from unit S14 and one each from units R15 and S15. Pottery is plentiful and appears to mainly consist of fine ware, while tiles are almost non-existant. One round stone tool was found next to a flat stone near the SW corner of the block. Among the small finds are two nozzles of lamps, one piece of lead that may either have been a clamp or a weight, a small piece of white plaster, one ui bronze object, and a conical steatite(?) spindle whorl typical of the LBA. Patches of very fragile white floor plaster were encountered and work in this block was therefore terminated.
