Block 16 was laid out in the eastern corner of Block 7 in order to cover the area where Wall 116 has been cut for the foundation of Wall 115 as well as to investigate the courses of Walls 001, 115 and 116. There was a difference in the distribution of finds with more shell and pottery fragments at the cut end of Wall 116 and on the side facing the interior of the building. Among the finds were a glass shard and a small lid cut from a pottery fragment. Small pieces of reddish mudbrick were also noted in these areas, but not a single tile fragment. A soil sample was collected from N25, where it seems to be a preserved floor deposit. If so, the floor is connected to Wall 116 and the other side of the same wall represents the exterior during that phase.
